Further to yesterday’s post, several communities in the Seacoast region will be holding events as part of Saturday’s National Day of Climate Change Awareness.  A Portsmouth rally, held in Market Square from noon - 2pm tomorrow, will feature speakers such as presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, Portsmouth mayor (and candidate for US Senate) Steve Marchand, and NH House Speaker Terie Norelli of Portsmouth.  The rally, organized by St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Portsmouth, and Clean Water Action, will also feature music, information booths, and games for children.

Other Seacoast events will be held in Exeter, Durham and York, with many more throughout New England and nationwide.  A complete listing of events can be found at Step It Up 2007, the sponsor of the National Day of Climate Awareness.
